The Mission Endowment Fund was created in 1992 to support and enhance the mission of Trinity Lutheran Church apart from the annual operating budget. Charitable bequests and other planned gifts continue to build the endowment. Contributions extend ministry outreach and initiatives, support special projects, and enrich congregational life here at Trinity, throughout the Indiana-Kentucky Synod, and in wider ELCA ministries.
Many projects have benefited from the endowment. Grants approved by the fund have helped: the Pathway to Worship Project, seminarians, the Stephen Ministry, and the ELMO Project – Red Cloud Indian School, among others.
Congregation members are invited to make requests for grants from the fund. All considering making a contribution to the endowment are encouraged to speak with an attorney or financial planner about giving to the Mission Endowment Fund.
